Belmar Train Station
You can take a train or a bus to reach Belmar from New York City. From Penn station on Thirty –third Street in Manhattan take the North Jersey Coast Line Train.
During the week the first train leaves the station promptly at 5:41 AM. Go back to sleep and arrive in Long Branch @ 7:15. It’s a short wait about an hour till the local train leaves for Belmar @ 8:37. You’re in Belmar before 9:00. The taxi stand can hail you a cab and most breakfast places in the area serve Freedman’s bake goods, a local must.
On Weekends, may we suggest an early Saturday departure, the train leaves Penn station @6:08 AM and arrives in Belmar @ 7:57 AM. You must change trains @ Long Branch. Just follow the crowd across the platform and on the waiting train.
Returning trains on Sunday Night leave Belmar @ 8:28, 9:28 and 11:24 . All trains have a change in Long Branch. The last train is an express, which discontinues operation after Labor Day, but during the season it arrives in New York @ 1:57 AM. Just in time for a night cap!
